My students need new chapter books for small reading groups. These new books are of high interest to the students but at a reading level where they can comprehend the text.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach a wonderful group of 7th and 8th graders in a resource room setting. All of my students are unique and have various learning strengths and needs. I teach several different reading, writing, and math courses that are differentiated for each individual student.
I consider myself lucky to have such a hardworking group of students.
Not only do my students come in ready to work everyday, they also are involved in many school activities. Go C-Hawks.
Some of my students do not like to read and in fact some even hate it. One of my goals is to help students develop a love for reading and one way to do that is through finding new or relevant chapter books that peek their interest.
By expanding our book club library, the students will not only have books that aren't falling apart, but they will hopefully also be able to find a title that they are truly interested in reading.
There are so many amazing book titles out there, and I would love to bring of few of them into the classroom.
