This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When our preK students have art materials to express their creativity during each theme-based unit, they have an opportunity to make visual connections to new vocabulary and ideas.
From self-portraits to creating props for centers such as a grocery store or doctors office, having paint sticks and markers will be so helpful to this process.
Readily available art materials will encourage our students to frequently engage their imaginations throughout the prek learning experience. Seeing their work in and around the classroom helps every young artist establish and maintain pride in their creative work!
