Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am the new art teacher at this elementary. I am excited to create art lessons that connect artist expression to the grade level curriculum being taught in the student's general education classrooms. Many students are struggling to read at grade level and are working incredibly hard to learn to read in English. Making artwork that matches the book being read in class will give all students (especially the struggling readers) a way to connect to the literature. I am requesting bulletin boards to hang around campus to display the student artwork.
