This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at our elementary school are diverse learners that strive for excellence to help overcome any challenges that life may present. The students begin in Kindergarten and continue through eighth grade. I love seeing them grow from little tots to young adults with bright minds and futures.

"I love art!" is a statement I love hearing from my students.

They come to art class with wide eyes, open minds, and an eagerness to learn and create. They appreciate the opportunity to engage in visual art, and I do my best to provide them with the resources and materials to do so.

My Project

My students would totally benefit from a Cricut machine to enhance their art! The machine will help students to create custom shapes and designs, while using contemporary technology to do so. Currently, students are subjected to using very outdated tools to create shapes, letters and signs. Such outdated materials just don't "cut it."

This machine would allow students to use contemporary technology for their art making, to go along with devices like laptops and iPads.

Using up-to-date technology is so important for the students to experience. It will help them prepare to live in our fast paced society. Most of all, it will help foster their creativity.
