This project is filled with books and supplies to help my first graders write their first research projects. We will learn about animal habitats, adaptations, and facts and then combine our knowledge into a report that we will present to their parents. They will finish their projects by creating a diorama of their selected animals home and a clay model of the animal to place into their habitat. Through this project they will learn expansive vocabulary, how to conduct research and then combine that information into a report in a organized way. They will also practice public speaking by sharing their new knowledge with peers and parents. This unit will meet a number of our standards and provide an amazing opportunity for growth and enrichments.
