This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a gifted and talented teacher in Title One schools my students are not allowed many enrichment opportunities. They have struggles in and out of the classrooms and despite this my goal is to provide critical thinking, enrichment, and emotional learning experiences. Through enrichment opportunities my students will be better prepared for real world situations.

My focus at these target schools is to provide enrichment for students who potentially could be gifted and talented qualified.

Any opportunities that I can provide would be beneficial.

My Project

Being that I work in mainly Title I schools the students do not have as many opportunities for enrichment. We will be studying alternative energy and how it will/can effect global change. The students even have to write a letter to a political figure explaining their choice as the best form of alternative energy. With the K'Nex my students will be able to have hands-on experience with different forms of energy. They will be able to decide for themselves which form is superior and determine whether their choice will be beneficial. Having students use hand-on activities can also promote group cooperation.
