Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a second-year Pre-K teacher and my students are truly brilliant. Starting your very first year of school in a pandemic can be very hard. Being a three to five-year-old and having to do virtual/hybrid learning is exceptionally difficult, but my babies have done such an amazing job! Many of my students come from low-income households, and they each have their struggles, but they still come to school with a smile and are ready to learn.
My Project
Being in a Pre-K classroom I need a lot of extra facemasks in the classroom for my students. It is very important to have extra facemasks for students because the elastic ear loop rips sometimes and they also get them dirty, more than once a day.
These tracing boards will be used during small group and center time, for the students that have difficulty writing the letters.
This is going to be a great resource to have because there are some students that need the extra help with learning to write and this is perfect!
By having these healthy food options in the classroom it gives my students the ability to stay in the classroom and remain engaged in learning. Most of my students come from low-income households and they might not have the ability to bring snacks for school. I will also send extra snacks home for those students that need them.
