This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At this point in the year, I still have a small group of students who are still internalizing the letter names and sounds. I love when they are able to use magnetic letters to build words. That is such a fun way to learn to read. In my class, we do this in both Spanish and English.

During the center time students are allowed to pick a game that will help them read or write.

They can sit with a buddy or sit alone. Students have lots of options and choices when it comes to how they want to learn that day.
