My Students
My Transitional Kindergarten class in composed of mainly Hispanic students. My students are either immigrant students or first generation born here in the U.S. My students are eager to learn about themselves and also about their environment. Our Students are Parmelee Ave. Elem. School all receive free state meals. Most of our students are economically disadvantaged.
Our school is located in a rough neighborhood, Our students feel safe when they are in school.
Transitional Kindergarten is a year where students get the opportunity to develop, not only emotionally but academically as well. It is truly a great start to an excellent education.
My Project
We need a Write The Letter Activity Center, Learn the Alphabet Dough Mats, Trace and Write Alphabet Center, All About The Letter Pocket Chart, a Chalk Bucket, a Dough Assortment Set 1, Dot Art Painters, and a Magna Tiles Master Set, these materials will give our students the opportunity to develop their letter formation skills through a fun and exciting way.
The materials I am requesting for my classroom will also give the students the opportunity to develop their letter recognition skills as well as their fine motor skills.
Learning through play is exciting and fun for the little ones. Students can use the materials to trace the letter formation with crayons and also to create the letters on their own with the dough. Students will also be able to trace the letter formation with the dot painters, all the activities will help with letter recognition skills as well fine motor skills. The Magna Tiles will give my students the opportunity to explore geometry concepts, symmetry area, perimeter and angles concepts as well.
The benefits are endless and we are asking for your generosity. Thank you.
