My students need lowercase letters practice books, the Letter Sounds Rock and Learn DVD, gigantic lowercase magnetic letters, alphabet games, and a trace and write alphabet center for hands on learning.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Have you ever seen children when they first learn something new? The look on their faces is priceless. It is hard for some students to learn without materials that let them have hands-on experiences.
Our school is in a rural area in Virginia.
We are a Title 1 school and many of the students receive free and reduced price lunch. Many students are from single parent homes, live with grandparents or other family members, or are foster children. Many of them do not have the materials available for them to become successful students.
The printing lowercase letters alphabet books and the lowercase magnetic letters will help my students to learn the lowercase letters and their sounds. The lowercase letters are the hardest for the students to learn. Having manipulatives that will engage more of their senses will help the students to learn better. The alphabet learning center and the alphabet games book will also help the students to grasp both the upper and lowercase letters. The Rock and Learn DVD will get the students moving and help them to learn the letters and their sounds. The students will be able to take the practice books home so that their parents can see what they are working on and encourage and help them in their learning.
If we are able to receive the supplies requested, the students will have a greater chance of success in learning the alphabet and the sounds.
Having this great foundation will also set them up for success in reading. These materials will also allow my students to begin to put letters and sounds together to make words and begin to read. These materials will also be used by the other pre-k classes so that they will have the benefit of these materials.
