This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

During speech tx, students benefit from letter/sound cues. These plush alphabet letters will be a great way to give them cues and for them to understand sound-letter correspondence while also being fun!

For example, a common speech goal is the /r/ sound.

A lot of kids replace their /r/ sounds with the /w/ or /l/ sound. If a student has /r/ sound goals, it would benefit them to be holding the R letter plush as well as the W letter plush to help them discriminate what sound they are saying. These stuffed letters will help my students master sound-letter correspondence.
