Alone We Can Do So Little, Together We Can Do So Much!
My students need one Baby Folding Wheasel with Tubs, Post-it Self-Stick Easel Pads, Sharpie Fine Point Permanent Markers, and Expo Dry Erase Assorted Colors Markers.
"You learn something new everyday, if you pay attention." In our classroom, we value closeness, coziness, and homelike warmth. We enjoy sitting together on the floor working through strategies and problems to learn and grow together.
My students are eager, excited, and willing to work hard to grow as individuals, as well as a whole.
They enjoy working together to problem solve and learn. Learning is much more meaningful to them when they can sit close together and take ownership in the instruction. As a teacher, I enjoy bringing my students together and letting them lead the conversations and letting them take ownership in their learning. Our school is a Title I school, meaning that 75% of our student enrollment is low income (poverty) level. Teachers receive $100 for our BEP and another $100 from our PTO. Like most other teachers, I spend a lot of my own money on my classroom as well as on my children (meaning my students).
My Project
I am requesting an easel with tubs, Post-it Self-Stick Easel Pads, Sharpie Fine Point Permanent Markers, and Expo Dry Erase Assorted Colors Markers.
My students and I need an easel for our whole group meeting time, our small group work time, and our individual reading time. A day in our classroom involves lots of time gathered together on the floor working on problems, solutions, and strategies to grow as individuals. We enjoy problem solving together and working through reading and math strategies to grow as Kindergartners. Having a place to meet together to work and share our ideas would allow for us to have a closeness that so many of my students need and would grow from. Having a teacher easel, will allow for myself to have whole group, as well as small group instruction time, in a manner that feels more personable for the students. The children will be more apt to focus and pay attention as they are gathered together closely rather than sitting in their chairs struggling to see the white board. We make lots of child directed anchor charts in our classroom, therefore, a teacher easel will offer a place to do so. The markers will be used by the teacher and students for different activities.
Having a teacher easel allows for closeness during whole group time as well as small group time.
Our classroom is a place to learn together and grow together. Meeting together and working together to share our ideas, allows for us all to feel comfortable enough to share and respond to one another. We are a team and we work together in all that we do. A teacher easel offers us a place to
