My Students
I work with a magnificent group of students who live in an urban area and face a number of different challenges prior to walking through the doors of the school. The best part is that they do not let those challenges stop them from entering the school with a smile and a willingness to learn something new.
My students are honest, hard-working, fun-loving, and plain ole awesome.
As their teacher, I am charged with the duty to grow their brains, but there is not a day that goes by that they don't grow my heart.
My Project
I am requesting a variety of individually wrapped snacks, such as Goldfish crackers, cookies, Poptarts, and fruit snacks for my students. This year, we went to an earlier day which means an earlier lunch. After lunch, my students still have 2.5 hours of learning to do. Having snacks for everyone will help keep my students focused during our lessons.
Snacks can help encourage concentration and re-energize tired students.
It always brings a BIG smile to their faces when they receive snacks. These snacks will help me ensure my students are always full and ready to learn!
I am also requesting school supplies to get my students to the end of the year. We use headphones daily; therefore, we go through them quickly. It is also time to replenish our dry erase markers and homework folders. These materials will help my students to remain successful through the end of the school year.
