My students are from a rural, low economic area. My students' parents are very involved. We have a great relationship. We are a team.
However, they are barely surviving financially, so it's hard for them to help our classroom out!
I do what I can. Any help will be greatly appreciated by the students and me. We have seven Chromebooks so far but my goal is to have a classroom set . We are getting closer and closer, thanks to generous donations!!!
My kids love to read, create, discuss, and they always give me their best, which is all I ask, therefore I have 16 different bests!
My Project
Adding Chromebooks to my class allows my students to experience Google Classroom at a younger age than most students get to. The learning benefits allow them to be prepared for the future learning endeavors they will encounter. As a master's student myself, I see how important it is for my students to immerse themselves in technology and to be able to maneuver through fluently. Google and the Chromebook takes learning outside the box and allows all modalities of learning to be involved! We currently have 7 Chromebooks, my goal is to keep adding until each of my students has one so we don't have to share them and they can be used in whole group instruction in both math and reading. Also, they will use them to research topics in science and social studies. The possibilities are endless with these as a tool. My kiddos love learning with the Chromebook at their fingertips! They make learning come to life.
