Allergy Clean Kindies

My Students

I teach at a high poverty school in NC in a large farming community. All students receive free breakfast. Many of our students also receive backpacks of food for the weekends.

My students love to come to school, and they are sponges to learn as much as they can.

So many students come to my classroom with struggling backgrounds and it is vital to me to make sure I meet all the needs of my students so they can learn to their full potential.

My Project

Many of my students have multiple food related allergies. We are washing hands before they enter the classroom, before we eat and after we eat. We are washing tables before breakfast and before lunch to make sure it is a safe environment. We are also washing desks before and after snack. We are using a ton of wipes and hand sanitizer and are starting to run out. Having clorox and lysol wipes will help with cleaning tables. Hand sanitizer helps with clean hands. Baby wipes helps when kids can help clean up messes. These supplies will help keep my classroom a safe and clean place for all of my students where ever they go. This will help them focus on learning instead of what they are touching and if its safe.
