All We Need Are School Supplies and Our Dreams

My students need basic school supplies to complete daily classwork, leveled books to boost their reading spirits, and 6 soft cushions to place in their cozy reading spots.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Davidson's classroom raised $519

My Students

"I can do anything I set my mind to do," is my class' daily mantra. We work daily to make our dreams come true by focusing on the lessons that will push us to greatness.

My students are eager learners!

When asked to write a persuasive letter to someone asking for a radical change to something dear to them, most of my students wrote a letter persuading me to continuing teaching and they will continue to stay motivated to learn. Our school was one of two schools out of 300+ applicants to receive a high achievement, "The Blue Ribbon Award" for excellence. Although we have received such an honor, many of our students endure a high rate of poverty, where many day cares, hospitals and other needed businesses have closed in the neighborhood. Slated to be built is a psychiatric shelter across the street from our school. Daily students will have to walk pass the shelter to travel to school.

My Project

A donation of basic school supplies will help my students to complete their daily classwork. The leveled non-fiction about famous Americans will inspire them to continue to strive for greatness. They will use the comfy pillows to sit in their cozy spots to read and dream about what they aspire to be, as they learn about the various careers paths and the ways in which they can make a difference. They will journal their thinking and their new found knowledge.

I enjoy going to work daily, because with the resources we currently utilize my students are still destined to succeed.

They complete their work and seek to know what's next. I believe it's because I tell them daily we are all destined for greatness, but we must believe that we can be somebody to make a difference in the world.
