Our students are hard-working and inspired to make their ambitions come true. Like many school districts, we lack funds to be able to provide students with the materials they need to be successful in the 21st century. Students get excited when they see their success with different materials, resources, and manipulatives. To see their faces light up as they are figuring out new concepts and life is exciting.
Teachers at my school are motivated by the success of all students both academically and in preparing them for life.
Our school currently serves K-5 students from different geographical demographics with rigorous academics. I am a part of a teacher culture that is driven to inspire the minds of young people.
These materials will allow students to meet their fullest potential.
My Project
I would like to provide students with unique hands STEM learning with robotics. I need materials to help my students be creators, thinkers, problem solvers, doers, innovators, and inventors. The materials will be used for opportunities for students to develop a wide range of skills from critical thinking and problem solving to the basics of engineering.
Using robotics and basic materials, students will have innovative opportunities to grow and learn using the materials in STEM activities.
These activities will enhance their understanding of ELA and Math standards. Students will use the materials to create mazes, obstacles reinforcing skills such as angles, and STEM challenges from picture books they will read, just to name a few.
