This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are an amazing group of children who thrive when helping the community they live in. Each year we work in the community garden to plant, nurture and harvest! It is hard when the planting season begins in the Spring to truly enjoy the fruits of our labor by the time school ends.

Our garden would be so much more productive if we could start our seedlings indoors during the winter and then plant them in the garden in the Spring.

If we have the materials to sprout indoors by June our garden would be in full bloom. We could harvest what we grew and enjoy it by eating and donating our goods!
