All Things Geometry: Hands-On Learning for Real-World Thinkers!

My Project

As a high school Special Education geometry teacher, I believe students learn best when they can explore, create, and connect learning to the real world. My students are curious and capable, but many of them struggle to stay engaged with traditional math instruction—especially when it feels abstract or disconnected from their daily lives.

That’s why I’m excited about implementing the All Things Geometry program in my classroom.

This program provides an engaging, activity-based approach to learning that allows students to get out of their seats, collaborate with peers, and build a deeper understanding of geometric concepts through movement, visual models, and critical thinking challenges.

With your support, I will be able to provide my students with high-quality, ready-to-use geometry activities that include:

• Task cards and stations that encourage movement and group problem-solving

• Foldables and interactive notebook pages to help with note-taking and retention

• Geometry-themed puzzles and scavenger hunts that make learning fun and memorable

• Hands-on manipulatives and visuals for exploring concepts like transformations, area, and 3D shapes

Many of my students come from diverse and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and most struggle with confidence in math. These activities will not only help them grasp important standards-based concepts, but also empower them to see themselves as capable problem-solvers.

I want to create a classroom where students look forward to math class—and All Things Geometry will help make that happen. With your generosity, we can move beyond the textbook and give students the chance to learn through doing, discovering, and thinking critically.
