This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from a community of hard-working and supportive families. The families value education and help students set goals for the future. Many of the students come from low-income families who don't always have the means to provide school supplies. By being given the tools they need, which will be equitable to all, they can get started on being scholars immediately. The items I am requesting for our classroom will be used in writing and all other subject areas. The use of pens, pencils, and markers will allow them and encourage them to complete writing assignments that share their life experiences and hopes for the future. Students will be able to show their understanding by writing ideas on their whiteboards after sharing their thinking with classmates.
Our students need writing, large book bins, and other tools to help make them successful in all academic areas.
These supplies will enable my kiddos to achieve the success they strive for.
