This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I haven't taught second grade in five years. Times and practices have definitely changed and I really want to arm myself and refresh my 2-3 grade station materials.
I am asking for several manipulatives, tools, small group activities, and learning aids: flashcards, nameplates, place value flip charts, word family wheels, puzzles, globes, phonics centers, writing paper, Bingo games, and et cetera.
All of these materials will be used in our daily small groups and when necessary, whole group lessons.
Post-COVID teaching is kind of daunting and I do not want to go into it unprepared. I am big on creating thoughtful and efficacious stations and I believe these items will make them meaningful.
