My students need playdough, stencils, science learning activities, journals, rubbing plates, paint and other essential items to assist us with our daily activities.
Kindergarten, Kindergarten; in Kindergarten I am faced with the challenge of making sure my students have a vast exposure to a wealth of experiences; from painting in arts and crafts to learning our letters and sounds. We are seeking essential items that will assist us with our daily activities.
My students enjoy learning new things.
Each day they regularly express how much they love being in my class. I try to create a well rounded experience that prepares them for 1st grade as well as life in general. Nonetheless, with a very small budget there is only so much that can be afforded to accomplish this goal.
My Project
I am requesting items such as interactive literacy technology software, paint supplies, science learning center activities, literacy skill builders, rubbing boards as well as various other items. With these resources my students will be able to improve their awareness of letters and sound knowledge, rhyming, and the 5 senses. In addition, with some of these resources they will be able to enhance their fine motor (small muscles) skills that will eventually help them to become better writers.
My students are very hands-on learners who enjoy learning by doing.
Having this project funded will help them to build skills in all areas of development. For example, I requested an electric pencil sharpener. Most people just see that as a means to sharpen pencils. I see it as an opportunity for a do-it-yourself activity that will not only improve my students' fine motor (small muscle) development but will also teach them about logic and effective time management.
