My classes are filled with wonderful and compassionate students that are trying to make their school and community a better place for everybody! They attend a small school in a very rural farming community. The students and school are plagued by the poor economics of the area and the continual lessening of funds provided by the state.
Despite these situations, these students want to succeed and need access to more current technology to do so!
I must commend their courage and compassion for learning and try to provide them with what they need.
My Project
My students will gain multiple academic skills when using Microsoft Surface Go. As they get more comfortable with more advanced technology, they will gain the confidence they need for success! Their knowledge will grow exponentially as they discover just what this new technology is capable of!
My gifted students will do advanced math and science activities and possibly even connect with mentors from MIT, top colleges and artists.
The Art students will investigate artists past and present and experiment with art creation programs! My yearbook students will use these computers to make one of the best yearbooks this school has ever seen because the ability of this machine is so much better then the few 4 year old computers they have access to now. The yearbook and civil rights team I advise will also be able organize activities and meetings, keep financial records and keep track of important deadlines.
