I'm a reading specialist who works with third, fourth, and fifth grade students on strengthening their reading skills. I love working with my students because they are determined, caring, and helpful. I'm always impressed by how hard they work to improve their skills and how much growth they make.
For my students who are learning to speak English, I need to give additional support so that they can also make progress in learning to read English.
A tablet that can provide visual and auditory translations will make instruction understandable for my Spanish-speaking students. Spanish and English alphabet charts will also make it easier for my students to transfer their Spanish literacy skills to English.
