Introducing a button maker in the library will play a pivotal role in mitigating learning loss caused by the pandemic. It provides a non-intimidating entry point to the library and, once inside, they are more likely to explore and engage with educational resources.
Button making is a social activity that encourages teens to collaborate, share ideas, and communicate. These interactions can help bridge the social gaps created by remote learning, promoting emotional well-being and motivation for learning.
While engaged in button making,my goal is that teens develop an increased interest in reading and writing, as they may want to create buttons with slogans or designs inspired by their favorite books or topics. This can lead to an organic connection with literature and an enhanced focus on language skills.
The button maker not only will draw teens into the library, but will also serve as a catalyst for engaging them in learning.
