This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 24 energetic, amazing, and fabulous firsties in an urban Pre K-8th grade school. One hundred percent of my students receive free lunch, and many of them come from families that are living well below the poverty line.
They are all so special because they always come to school with smiles on their faces, eager and ready to learn no matter what the circumstances may be at home.
That type of enthusiasm and willingness to learn inspires me to do and want more for them.
My Project
I love using technology in my classroom as much as possible. I use the projector and document camera often in order to project directions or see examples of what and how student work should look like on any particular assignment, whatever that may be.
Unfortunately, there is not much storage or surface area for me to use the laptop and document camera comfortably without having to push two student desks together.
A presentation center will make it easier to store the media all in one spot as well as a large enough surface area to use the equipment the way it was meant to be used.
