My Students

My students have brilliant minds and big goals! They attend a title one school in the District of Columbia, that serves 100% economically disadvantaged families. Most of my students are English Language Learners, who are learning the content and English at the same time.

My students are invested in their education, love to read, and are growing as civic leaders in their communities.

My students care about each other and the environment and want to make the world a better place!

My Project

Students of all different backgrounds deserve the opportunity to have equal opportunities for success in their schooling. All students have a right to an education, but some students face additional learning challenges because of disabilities.

Every student should feel they have the supports needed to succeed, no matter what obstacles are in their paths.

The sensory tools will help provide supports for students who have attention deficit disorders, autism, and other learning disabilities. The tools will assist students in sustaining things like their focus and will allow them to achieve and compete with their peers. These sensory objects can help close the education gap by providing a tool for students to manage their disabilities.
