My Students
I teach at the same high school from which I graduated 20 years ago. Our school is high poverty, and available funds have gone to supplementing district-provided electronics with headphones that families could otherwise not afford.
Thankfully, our district has chosen to do distance learning, to maintain the safety of our students, staff, and our community.
Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to create teacher setups. The district has promised a stipend, part of which I have already spent on headphones and upgraded Internet access.
My Project
I've been struggling this year with distance learning and having no printer at home. So far I've been able to manage, but end of the year projects will be much easier with hard copies.
Since the conclusion seems to be that we will not be returning this year, I am requesting an all in one laser printer.
This will allow me to scan, copy, and print in color and black and white.
When we eventually return to in person learning, I can bring the printer back to the physical school site.
