My Project
The American Sign Language Program, Forensic Speech and Debate Team, African American Student Union, Indian Pakistani Student Union, Native American Student Union, and Intertwine Our Minds Knit and Crochet Club collectively serve over 300 students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds. These programs rely heavily on printed materials for educational support, event promotion, and community engagement. Unfortunately, many of the students involved do not have access to a personal computer or printer at home, making it difficult for them to complete assignments, prepare presentations, or participate fully in extracurricular projects.
By providing an all-in-one color printer/copier, we can ensure equitable access to essential resources that support academic success and student involvement.
This printer/copier will be a central, shared asset that enables the creation of flyers, pamphlets, debate evidence, club materials, grant applications, and more, improving the self-sufficiency of these programs. Unlike district-issued machines, which can take weeks to service due to a shortage of tech staff, this new unit would be maintained on-site, minimizing downtime and ensuring students and staff have continuous access to printing resources when they need them most.
