All In For 5th Grade School Supplies

Help me give my students the essential school supplies that they need to be successful, organized, and independent in 5th grade.

My Project

My students are a wonderful group of twelve 5th-grade students! I am a Special Education teacher, and although my students experience many challenges in their learning, that does not stop them from giving their best effort every day. My students come from all different backgrounds, and many live in a low-income community. When provided with an entire school supply list, it is not easy for some of my students to completely buy all of the items they need for a successful school year. As their classroom teacher, I am organizing this project to help supply our classroom with the essential items needed for success, organization, and independence.

This will be my students' last year in elementary school, and being guaranteed a whole new set of school supplies will have great potential to enhance their learning.

The markers and crayons will be for completing projects, while the folders and pencil cases will be for organization. Pre-sharpened pencils will be used for everyday work. Clipboards will be for completing work in flexible seating opportunities, and headphones will be for independent work on their classroom iPads. In conclusion, each supply will be used to help make school an enriching and fun environment for students.
