This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I’ve had the pleasure of working with the children in Springfield, MA for 23 years. They are loving, energetic and hopeful. My school is located in a high poverty, low socio-economic area of the city. No matter the obstacles they face outside of school, they strive to be the beast they can every single day.
My Project
Hello!!! Never in a million years did I think that I’d be working at home as a teacher! In order to ensure that my students are on task and actively participating, I need a second device so I can monitor their computer screens while I’m Zooming with them while using my laptop. My district uses “Dyknow” which allows me to see all tabs that are open on their laptop.... so if someone is watching YouTube or playing a game, I can send them a message to close their apps and get to work!
