My Project
Kindergarten is a vital time in every students life. Not only are they learning fundamental skills that will help them be successful but this is the time when students can cultivate a love of learning. If a student decides in kindergarten that learning is not fun, studies have shown they will have a harder time as their years progress in school and rarely seek out secondary education. My goal as a kindergarten teacher is to create an environment that all of my students love to learn.
One way I do this is providing as many hands on experiences as possible.
Students are able to do many hands on activities in my classroom during centers to learn letters, rhyming, numbers, and counting. They learn the engineer and design process by creating different objects with our individual STEM bins.
As each year goes by, materials are needed to be updated and replaced. This donors choose is to replace and some essential items my students use to learn. It will also add a few more hands on experiences for them.
