Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a wonderful group of second grade learners. Our classroom is full of diverse students who are ready to learn and enjoy the process. Our diverse group includes military children, special education students, and second language learners.

We are learning together to build a great learning environment to work towards our highest potential.

We work together to include all students in all activities. We all work on goals although we just may accomplish them in different ways. My main goal is to create an environment where all my students will continue to learn and grow. Three words to describe our learning environment are “whatever it takes.” When we do this, we all benefit.

My Project

These place value kits will complete my class set. I will now be able to give one to all students without sharing. This set puts the learning into my students hands.

The balance will help us complete Math and Science projects.

It will have us weigh and compare objects.

This balance will help us compare more accurately. Right now what we use is very simple and gives us more estimated answers than accurate answers.

These new materials will get my students involved with their learning. They will become active learners, instead of just looking at what is happening.
