My Students
Today's classrooms have certainly changed in the past year, we went from in person school to remote to hybrid learning. I want my students to come back in the fall to the normal, where we are hands on, learning in groups, with the laughing and learning.
My students love to learn hands-on, they are well behaved and love to play games that promote learning.
They attend a school that has a very diverse population, many of these students are free and reduced lunch children. Most of my students come from single parent homes, in which the parents work 2nd and 3rd shifts.
My Project
Today is all about video games, texting, and videos. Help bring back hands-on learning with helping my students get hands on math games that don't involve technology.
Board games are one resource I tell parents that ask what can I do to help.
Board games involve all kinds of thinking, whether it be computation, counting, reading, team work, sharing and logical thinking.
Having these board games in my classroom will allow my students to learn while having fun, and practice strategies they are learning during small and whole group activities.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
