This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
If you have checked out any of my other projects, you know how much our students love to come into the library during recess...especially on art and game days. Whether they are experimenting with watercolor, following a guided drawing lesson, or simply coloring, many students choose to spend their recesses in the library, immersing themselves in quiet creativity.
Art can boost self-esteem through self-expression, help develop spatial recognition and fine motor skills, and spark the imagination...best of all, it's fun!
We are already sculpting and experimenting with air-dry clay, and this kiln, clay, and glaze will allow students to explore a wider range of clay creations. We can't wait to get fired up!
