My Students

I have the best job in the world!. I service seven different classrooms with children with special needs. My children have motor development delays, physical or neurological disabilities and cognitive delays.

My Specially Designed Physical program is about meeting the unique needs of all the individual students with intellectual and physical disabilities.

My children need modifications to the curriculum, equipment, instruction and assessment to be physically successful. They participate in various physical activities that are modified to meet their individual needs. We focus on physical fitness, motor development, recreational sports, independent sports and team sports.

My Project

All my students want to be active on some level. These ribbons, beams and cooperative dice will give my children special needs children an opportunity to succeed at their own personal level.

My Specially Designed Physical program is developed around motor skills, motor patterns and motor responses with my special needs population.

With this equipment, I am able to teach using visual, auditory, tactile, vestibular and proprioceptive awareness.

These items will give all my special needs students an opportunity to learn and have success, without having to adapt their equipment.
