My students need laminated materials to use over and over that a printer and laminating machine will allow me to be prepared for each lesson!

My Students
Holding something in your hands always helps you understand something much better! This is definitely the case for my students. They love to grab everything! With laminated materials, my students will truly be able to dive into the lessons over and over again!
There are six students in my kindergarten and first grade class.
They are all eager and loving and express themselves in a variety of ways! My students attend a school in New York that is designated for children with special needs. The staff, including myself, work to ensure that each student receives material in a way that they can best understand. Often, this means up to six different angles to a single concept or lesson multiple times each day!
My Project
I have seen first-hand that students with Autism thrive with visuals. Unfortunately, if something isn't laminated, it won't last a day with my students that seem to soak up the information through their hands! Resources such as a laminating machine and laminating sleeves will ensure that materials will last. With a printer and paper in my own classroom, I will be able to have the materials I need each day for my students. It has also been beneficial for me to have materials posted around the room. With Velcro, I will be able to display the materials for easy access for myself and my students. These resources will give my students the opportunity to repeatedly revisit materials from previous lessons to guarantee that the topic can be mastered.
I strongly believe that my students deserve the best education there is!
These resources will allow me to present materials to my students in a way that they can truly understand. I hope to provide them with countless tools to make great educational successes throughout their academic careers and help close the achievement gap that is present in our school system across the nation.
