Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The products I chose for my students such as an aquarium, butterfly garden, and tomato cages will help me as a teacher to promote a sense of sustainability and conservation in my classroom. My goal is to inspire them to become environmentally conscious and responsible in and out of the classroom. By integrating environmental concepts and practices into our curriculum, we can help students develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep connection to the natural world. I believe those visual and hands-on activities I have for them in the classroom will help them to stay engaged, develop a sense of wonder and a greater appreciation for nature/the world they are living in, and also give them the opportunity to witness how far their small actions can impact the environment.
