My students need part two of the language builder set to build upon their growing language skills and binders for keeping track of daily data.

My Students

Imagine not being able to use your spoken language to effectively communicate your basic wants and needs. Each day, some of the children I instruct face this challenge. I am fortunate enough to be a part of instructing their unique way of learning and building upon their language skills. All of my students are identified as students functioning with autism.

In my class, we utilize a verbal behavior program as an intervention to build upon their language skills.

My district works closely with the Pennsylvania Autism Initiative. Every student in my class has an individual education plan in place to address their educational needs.

My classroom is a part of a large school district. Our district is high poverty. All students in our school receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite all obstacles in their way me are eager to learn each and every day!

My Project

Binders are utilized each day to track students daily progress. My students have outgrown their 2-inch binders and are in need of larger home to collect and track their data. Most of my students have also successfully moved through part one of the language builder noun set and are in need of set two language builder box to continue to build language skills.

Getting new binders to collect data will be a great help to our classroom because data is graphed per operant each day and our binders fill quickly.

A full binder is good binder because this shows we are ever-growing and never stop learning. Language builder cards will allow for further language instruction for my students who have mastered their first set to continue to learn in their own special way.
