My Students

My students are inquisitive, passionate, and incredibly talented. They love to learn and grow through the power of music! They are diverse in their backgrounds, but similar in that they all love to create and explore the world through the arts.

My students are creative, compassionate, eager and joyful music makers.

They love to make connections to the world through music of the past and present. They collaborate as a community of musicians and the product is always remarkable to witness.

My Project

Our classroom has a number of barred instruments, however we have very few bass barred instruments. It would be such a huge help to be able to balance the high glockenspiel or xylophone parts with the deep bass xylophone parts. With a limited number of bass instruments, it makes it challenging to provide opportunities for students to practice a variety of patterns and sounds.

With an additional bass xylophone, students can take turns and explore different parts.

We love to use the xylophones for sound stories, play alongs, and ensemble settings. At present the bass xylophone we have is damaged. It would be so special to show students what is possible when we have a full, complete and operational instrument.
