My students are full of ideas, energy and life. The come into our music classroom ready to move, to learn and to create. They constantly surprise me with how talented and creative they are, contributing ideas for music creation and performance. They LOVE to play instruments with the many songs we sing and dance to. They are kind and respectful and fun. Half of my students are dual-language learners and all of them are learning to be leaders and make changes in the world around them. I can't wait to see what they do when the grow up!
My Project
Contrabass resonator bars are an amazing addition to the music room! Their low, low sound is both calming and exciting for students at the same time. The tone of the Studio 49 bass bars are rich and deep. Student (and adults) love to play them. The sound carries through the group and keeps our ensemble of young musicians playing together. We currently have a G and C. D will allow us the ability to play additional music.
Having this resonator bar will provide more opportunities to focus on the social and emotional support that our students need right now.
Fulfilling the state standards of creating and performing music brings students together while the low steady sound of a contrabass bar helps soothe worries away. These materials will continue to benefit K-5 students year after year.
