Help me give my students a new concert bass drum stand so that they are more successful when playing bass drum and so we can improve the sound of our percussion section and therefore our entire ensemble.
My students are frequently faced with challenges they can't control. My goal is to give them the very best I can every day and make their experience in my classroom positive and educational.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and home situations, but the thing they have in common is their love of making music and playing their instruments!
They come to school early and stay late to improve their skills. They work hard and inspire me every day.
My Project
My percussion students currently use a a folding bass drum stand. The bass drum slides around, making it hard to play. The stand also doesn't tilt, making proper technique and playing rolls very difficult.
Not having proper equipment has an effect on the level of success my students can achieve when performing their music.
Because we have difficulty with our bass drum stand, the students have a hard time playing bass drum. This affects the entire percussion section and by extension the rest of the band. We need a new bass drum stand that our bass drum will sit on securely and will tilt to allow my students the proper playing position. This will help my students become better musicians and help our band raise our level of musicianship.
