My Students
My students are a wonderful group of children always ready to learn. They range from 3-5 years old. I have two classes with twenty kids in each class. They love hands-on activities for learning and playing in centers.
During center time we set up the classroom to enhance their learning through play.
We are an at-risk program located in a small farming community. I have been teaching here for seventeen years now. Our grade school is a small district of two sections of each grade level.
My Project
This classroom project is set up for reading. The shelf will help the kids be able to display the books and have easy access to them. The baskets that go underneath will help them store the puppets and stuffed animals.
The materials we are asking for will help the kids learn to love reading!
We are also asking for a collection of feelings books to help the kids learn about their feelings. We will read each book and then do special activities to go along with them to help them learn to identify their feelings and act on them appropriately.
