This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My second-grade students are very inquisitive and hardworking. They try their best and know that quitting is not an option. They know that I have high expectations for them, so they are always willing to be challenged. They learn to work together as a whole class, in small groups, in pairs, and independently. They are very respectful, responsible, loving, and appreciative. They help each other in and outside of the classroom.
Our class is multicultural and multilingual from a mixed economic status.
We welcome everyone with acceptance and kindness. Our classroom is another place for them to learn and grow.
My Project
A printer in the classroom will allow my students and I to be able to have a more print-rich classroom. Students will be able to work on assignments on their chrome books and be able to print them out in the classroom. We will be able to create Science and Math journals using the printer. We will use the printer to create books, charts, and other visual aids that deeply benefit all learners. We will have the ability to help students create books that can be held and read by classmates and families.
This project will make a difference by enhancing the learning environment in the classroom.
Our school is in a high-poverty area, therefore, it would be nice to provide students with the technology that they cannot access at home. The printer can be used across the curriculum and will impact the learning of each student. It is an essential resource that can provide for all the different learning modalities.
