Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a Title I school district with a 87% of students being economically disadvantaged. My kindergarten classroom is filled with twenty-one eager and enthusiastic bilingual students who are ready to learn. We are working every day to "grow our brain muscles" and become hard-working and inquisitive lifelong learners.
Our school mascot motto is "Warriors Achieving Excellence!" My students achieve excellence through all of the new challenges they conquer in the classroom each day.
We work in large and small groups to foster a love of reading, writing, and math. We love hands-on learning and exploring the world beyond our classroom. Coming into my classroom is oftentimes, the first educational experience these children have had and we want that experience to shape their future in a positive way!
My Project
Imagine a classroom that inspires creativity and success daily. With Cricut, we will be able to create high-quality classroom tools, decor, and resources to encourage student achievement in all academic areas.
The Cricut can create anything from bulletin board decorations, labels, and student projects, to personalized student learning materials.
Using this machine, students will have more opportunities to take their projects to the next level. Teachers may choose to work directly with students to create, explore, and innovate with new technology. This crafting machine will bring arts and crafts alive in the classroom. It will give my students a world of inventive and imaginative designing possibilities!
