My Project

I teach an incredible group of students who show up every day with resilience, joy, and a thirst for learning. Many come from neighborhoods with limited access to sports and fitness, and some face disabilities that make traditional team sports more challenging. Despite these obstacles, they are eager to move, learn, and succeed. They deserve every opportunity to experience the joy of physical activity.

As a physical education and health teacher, I aim to create a physical education environment that is diverse, inclusive, and ability-driven.

My goal is to offer a multi-sport curriculum where every child, regardless of their abilities or zip code, can experience the excitement of movement.

I want my students to know that their zip code and ability should never limit their opportunity to learn, move, and succeed.

This grant will help me introduce the sport of bowling to my students. I’m requesting a Bowler’s Ed Sportime bowling carpet lane, two sets of Sportime bowling pins, two NI-ROU outdoor wooden bowling sets, ONE set of bowling score sheets, a Champion Sports ball cart, and one bowling ball. These materials will offer a fun and accessible way for my students to build coordination, teamwork, and confidence.

I chose bowling because this sport is ideal for students of all abilities. It strengthens motor skills, encourages focus, and boosts self-esteem. The sport’s adaptable nature ensures that everyone can participate and feel successful, no matter their skill level.

This equipment will support my growing multi-sport curriculum/ program, broadening my students' opportunities and encouraging lifelong fitness. With your support, bowling will be the next exciting chapter in their journey toward self-confidence and success.
