This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how compassionate, motivated, and hardworking my teaching academy students are. They are passionate about giving back to our school community and are excited to organize an inclusive field day specifically designed for students with disabilities. Their goal is to create a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment where every student feels included, valued, and empowered to participate. Providing outdoor games like skee ball, giant bowling, a tug of war rope, potato sack race bags, corn hole, and supplies for the three-leg race will help make this event engaging and accessible. These resources will encourage physical activity, teamwork, and social interaction, helping all students build confidence and enjoy a memorable day full of joy and connection. This experience will also teach my teaching academy students important lessons about empathy, leadership, and community service.
