This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have worked in many schools and have never met a group like the one who walks into my lab everyday. They are very humble and filled with gratitude for anything presented or given to them. They crave constant learning and are always seeking diverse outlets to learn. They are wonderful students that always strive to do their best.

Our school is a Title I school that serves students from grades K-12.

Most of our students come from low income families. My goal is to provide them with information, educational opportunities, and experiences that will continue to spark their interest in learning and making connecting with Computer Science.

My Project

My students’ interest in designing and programming robots has flourished this year. We presently have 1 brick for our Mindstorm Ev3 set, which is what allows our algorithms to come alive. We would like to get another brick so we can break up into two teams and have many friendly competition to compare different ways to complete obstacles.

My students will benefit from this project, because it will allow them to work in a smaller group setting.

They will be able to experience sportsmanship and be more productive in designing different robots. I look forward to having them break into teams and seeing their diverse creations.
