Help me give my students more engagement in Algebra class! I am going to be teaching students who struggle with math, and these items will allow for more hands-on, engaging lessons and discussions.
I am going to be teaching Algebra in a two-year stretch class, which means these are students who have historically struggled with math for the first nine years of school.
I want to show students how math can be engaging, relevant to their lives, and even fun!
Students always ask, "when are we ever going to use this in real life?" and many of the materials in this project support that. Students also really enjoy doing hands-on activities, which is why the graphing whiteboards would be so beneficial - they get to put their pencils down for a bit to practice graphing, and I get to quickly assess who needs extra help - it's a win-win!
