Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Algebra is the biggest fear of any 9th grader let alone an upper classman that is repeating the course along side that freshman. I want to provide a different experience for these students to help engage them with the material they have seen before.

By engaging them with an escape room activity through the use of the TPT gift cards, I can spark that interest or help them see learning from a different viewpoint.

My students are resilient, still trying to master the course of Algebra and I want to support them. The majority population of students are Hispanic or Latino, representing the largest ethnic group. Of the student population, 51% of students are classified as economically disadvantaged.
